Some people can choose what's best and stick to it while others can only know it. Knowing it means glancing and/or instant-reaching it, but not preserving it. The feeling level could be the same at first sight, but it fades like water.
Brigthness can only be to extinguish what's already a fantasy, it is indeed the ‘so-called best’ we’re here to. Such radiation has no opposite force, otherwise we would be considering darkness as something when in fact it’s only the absence of anything at all.
It all boils down to the "all-in-one" or "one-in-all" we were told lives ago, summarizing the whole existence in a potential-lying field, ego-built, which tries to convice us we’re less than just everything.
